One of the captured military personnel from North Korea, who was taken prisoner, intends to remain in Ukraine, while another wants to return home. President Volodymyr Zelensky published a video of the interrogation where this was noted.

The first captured soldier refused to disclose his location, but stated that he did not know he was fighting on the side of Ukraine because he was told that these were ordinary exercises. Earlier, this version was also supported by the SBU.

The translator who was present during the interrogation explained that the captured soldier had been in a shelter since January 3, during which he witnessed the death of his comrades. He was found on January 5.

The soldier stated: 'I want to live in Ukraine.' He was responded to that in Ukraine, they understand his captivity and lack of information and are 'ready to help' him.

The translator was also quoted as saying that the captured soldier is ready to return to North Korea if ordered to, or stay in Ukraine if given the opportunity.

The second captured soldier from North Korea said that he wants to return home to his homeland where he has family.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to hand over Kim Jong-un his soldiers if he organizes an exchange for Ukrainian warriors who are held captive in Russia.

It should be noted that Ukrainian soldiers detained two soldiers from North Korea who were fighting in Crimea against Ukraine. This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

It was previously noted that if Ukrainian troops retreat from Crimea, then 60,000 Russian soldiers stationed there will monitor the Armed Forces of Ukraine and seize more territory.
