Her son, Volodymyr Kryzhanivskyi, shared poignant memories of his mother:

'Mom has gone beyond the horizon... After our father died suddenly two years ago, it was as if she lost her will to live,' he noted. 'Of course, we tried everything possible. We saw the best neurosurgeons and underwent both radiation and chemotherapy, but it was all in vain. She faded away with each passing day.'
