The USA warns Ukraine: readiness for war in 2026 is mandatory.
According to ТСН: The administration of US President Donald Trump is focused on achieving a peaceful settlement, but Ukraine must be prepared for a possible conflict next year.
This was stated by US Ambassador to NATO Matt Vitaker on the Fox News program.
He emphasized the importance of the meeting with the Russian delegation, which will take place this coming weekend in Miami, where a potential peace agreement is planned for discussion in coordination with Ukraine and European partners.
However, Matt Vitaker noted that
"Ukraine must also be ready to fight in 2026."
He pointed out that
"This is exactly why a $105 billion loan from the EU was approved. The United States is selling weapons to our NATO allies. And they are being supplied to Ukraine. These are weapons that cannot be found anywhere else,"adding that the United States wants the war to end but also wants Ukraine to be able to defend itself.
Vitaker also noted that
"it is quite obvious that as we enter this winter without a peace agreement, the fighting will continue. But President Trump and his team, including me, are not going to give up on peace. We simply cannot give up on peace. And if there is any chance that we can negotiate an agreement, we will certainly do it,"he concluded.
We remind that this weekend in Miami, negotiations between representatives of the United States and Russia regarding a possible end to the war are scheduled.
This meeting highlights the ongoing efforts of the international community for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. Hopes for the outcomes of the negotiations amidst winter remain crucial for regional stability and the security of the Ukrainian people. At the same time, Ukraine should remain vigilant for any challenges that may arise in the near future.
