According to ТСН: On Sunday in Mexico, in the southern state of Oaxaca, the Interoceanic train derailed. There were 250 people on board, including nine crew members. Thirteen people were killed in the accident.

According to medical reports, 139 people were not injured. However, 98 people sustained injuries, 36 of whom required medical attention.

Officials' Statements

President Claudia Sheinbaum reported that five of the injured individuals are in critical condition. “High-ranking officials were sent to the scene to assist the families of the deceased,” she stated.

Oaxaca Governor Salomon Jara Cruz expressed condolences to the victims' families and assured that the state authorities are coordinating their actions with federal agencies to support the affected.

The Attorney General's Office of Mexico has already begun an investigation into the incident, as reported by Attorney General Ernestina Godoy Ramos.

Accident in Poland

There are also reports of a fatal accident near the town of Brzeg in southwestern Poland, in which six people died. Among the deceased are five Ukrainians, born in 1995, 2003, 2006, 2007, and 2008. There was a head-on collision between a Ford Kuga and a Volkswagen Passat on the road.

This tragedy raises questions about the safety of rail and road transport in both countries. Authorities promise to take measures to investigate the causes of the accidents and prevent similar incidents in the future. The families of the deceased and the injured are already receiving necessary support from the governments.
