Ukraine Under Alert as Russia Launches Drone Swarm and Threatens Missile Strikes.
Air Raid Alert Issued Across Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: Air raid sirens sounded across Kyiv and multiple Ukrainian regions on the evening of March 6th, following warnings of incoming hostile drones and potential missile strikes. This alert, sent to citizens' mobile phones, indicates a significant escalation in the immediate aerial threat level.
Hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been detected over most central and northern regions. In Chernihiv Oblast, drones are moving toward Mena and Sosnytsia, while in Poltava Oblast, groups of UAVs have been tracked passing near Velyka Bahachka, heading southwest. Drones were also spotted in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast near Hubynykha, traveling west. In Sumy Oblast, hostile targets are directly over the city of Sumy, and in Kirovohrad Oblast, UAVs are on course for Znamianka. In the south, new drone groups are entering Mykolaiv Oblast from Kherson Oblast.
Furthermore, a ballistic missile threat persists in several areas. A particular danger of ballistic weapon launches has been identified from Russia's Voronezh Oblast. By 22:34 on March 6th, the live air raid alert map showed a changed picture, reflecting the critical situation in these regions. Russian tactical aviation has also launched guided aerial bombs at Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk Oblasts, underscoring the severe threat to Ukrainian cities. These attacks are part of a sustained Russian campaign of air assaults that has intensified in recent months.
