Air Forces commented on the information about the 'destruction' of Patriot.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of a Patriot division in the Dnipropetrovsk region, but this information is not true. According to Yuriy Ignat, acting head of the communications department of the Ukrainian Air Forces, the enemy damaged several pieces of equipment, not destroyed it.
Ignat emphasized that this is war, and war leads to damage not only of people but also of equipment. He also noted that the Patriot division continues to fulfill its tasks in the region despite the damage.
On the same day, according to Ignat, the Patriot division is engaged in combat against Russian ballistic missiles and successfully intercepts some of them. He also remarked that technology in war is constantly evolving, and the Russians are changing their tactics of application.
The Netherlands plans to transfer three launchers to the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine, and Romania also envisages providing Ukraine with a Patriot missile defense system. Ukraine needs 25 Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to completely secure the skies over the country.
