Fires, explosions, and closed airports: consequences of the drone attack

In various regions of Russia, an alarm was raised on the night of January 24 due to a massive drone attack. These attacks targeted industrial, oil, and energy sector facilities, leading to restrictions on movement at some airports.

Alerts about the threat of aerial attacks were spread across several Russian regions, including Moscow, Rostov, Kursk, Bryansk, Tambov, Lipetsk, and Tula regions, as well as in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In the Ryazan region, drones were successfully neutralized, but as a result, fires broke out at an oil refining plant and a power station.

Attempts at drone attacks were also detected in Moscow. Thanks to the operation of air defense systems, several drones were destroyed. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported the downing of drones in the Kolomna urban district, Ramensky urban district, Podolsk district, and Shcholkovo.

There were also attempts to attack the 'Kremlin' factory in Bryansk and the oil refinery in Engels.

Alarm was also raised in Saratov and Tatarstan due to the threat of drone attacks.

As a result of these attacks, a 'Carpet' plan was announced at the 'Domodedovo', 'Zhukovsky', 'Vnukovo', Kazan, Samara, Penza, Saratov, and Nizhnekamsk airports, which involves stopping aircraft movements in case of a threat to their safety.

These incidents are a result of the growing activity of drones, which has become a new threat to the security of Russia.
