Russian Direct Investment Fund is heading to Miami: what will it discuss with Kushner

According to ТСН: The Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev is heading to Miami, where he plans to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.

No contacts with representatives of Ukraine are expected during this meeting.

“Trilateral contacts with the Ukrainian side are not planned,”
- a source told the publication.

The meeting in Miami will take place after negotiations in Berlin, where Witkoff and Kushner discussed issues with representatives from Ukraine and Europe. The day before, Trump’s representatives also had a meeting with the Ukrainian negotiator, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov.

U.S. and Russia negotiations

Recently, Politico reported that the U.S. and Russia will negotiate the war in Ukraine this coming weekend. The White House plans to familiarize the Russian representatives with the results of the latest round of consultations in Berlin, where a new peace plan was discussed. According to the publication, the U.S. aims to persuade the Kremlin to accept new ceasefire proposals.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also confirmed preparations for contacts with the U.S. He noted that Moscow wants to “receive information about the results of the work that Americans have done with Europeans and Ukrainians.”

These negotiations indicate an intensification of diplomatic efforts from both sides amid escalating conflict in Ukraine. What the results of the Miami meeting will be, the answers to which could alter the course of events in the region, remains in question. Observers believe that the success of these contacts will determine the further development of the peace process.
