Danish Prime Minister Proposes to Review EU Relations with China Due to Its Assistance to Russia.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen criticized China for its support of Russia in the war against Ukraine.
She stated that without China's help, Moscow would not be able to continue the invasion of Ukraine for such a long Time.
Frederiksen is convinced that China must face consequences for its support of Russia, and these consequences should be political in nature.
"I don't think Russia could conduct a full-scale war for more than two and a half years without China's help. We cannot allow a situation where China helps Russia in the war... in Europe, without consequences. They must be held accountable for their actions," she noted.
The Danish Prime Minister reminded about the unsuccessful cooperation of EU countries with Russia in the energy sector and urged not to repeat these mistakes in relations with China. She stated that Europe tried to build a normal partnership with China in various aspects, but now cannot be naive.
"I think we should be less dependent on China. Dependence is always a mistake when you don't share the same values and interests. I think Europe always tries to follow the rules, but when you realize that someone else is not, you must be able to respond," she said.
Frederiksen added that her view on China is shared with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Recall, earlier there was information that Russia manufactures combat drones in China for the war in Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia is preparing attacks on Ukrainian nuclear power plants using Chinese satellites.
