The President spoke about the situation at the front.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the situation in the east of the country is difficult. He also noted the slow advancement of the Russian army. He spoke about this in an interview with 'Ukrainian Radio'.
«In the east, the situation is indeed complicated. There is slow pressing and advancement of the Russians. For various reasons: inadequate training of our brigades, insufficient supply of weapons - all these processes have been very slow. We cannot simply fill brigades with people if they do not receive the necessary weapons. We waited 12 months for the supply of certain weapons after approval in Congress», - he stated.
Zelensky also mentioned that Ukrainian soldiers need rotation.
«Moreover, in the east, there are brigades where soldiers have been fighting for a long Time. They need rotation. Other brigades should come to take their place», - the president emphasized.
Recently, Ukrainian military made advances in the Kursk region and near Kurakhove. However, there has also been recorded advancement of Russian occupiers near Kupiansk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Vugledar.
Pressure continues from the northern, southern, and eastern sides on the city of Kurakhove in Donetsk region. To the north of the city, the occupiers do not give up in their attempts to secure themselves in the village of Sontsivka and completely seize it.
