Every day at 9 AM, Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today, we remember Andriy Rubanov.
Andriy Rubanov died at the front. He was a resident of the village of Yurki and started his fight for Ukraine from the first days of the invasion. This information was published by the Tulchyn District State Administration.
Andriy was born on April 16, 1990, in the village of Yurki in the Shpykiv community.
He was called up for military service during mobilization in February 2023. Andriy served as the commander of the third engineer-sapper squad of the engineering reconnaissance platoon of the engineering support company.
During his military service, Andriy earned a positive reputation. He was motivated to serve in the army and to improve his professional skills.
On December 28, 2024, in Viktoriivka, Sudzhan District, Kursk Oblast, Russia, he fought his last battle.
Andriy Mykolaiovych sacrificed his life for his country and the Ukrainian people to ensure the future of our children and the possibility of living in a peaceful and free state. Now he is forever with the heavenly guard, and over his grave, the blue and yellow flag will forever flutter.
We join in a moment of silence to honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for the homeland. We remember those who died at the hands of Russian invaders. We light candles of memory and bow our heads in grief during the national moment of silence, honoring the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state - both military and civilian, and children, all those who perished during the intervention of Russian troops in the cities and villages of Ukraine.
