Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war every day at 9 AM. Among them is Oleksandr Sidletskiy, who was escorted on his final journey by the Shepetivka community on May 8. He defended his land from the Russian enemy for more than two years.
Oleksandr Sidletskiy was born on August 16, 1979, in Shepetivka, Khmelnytskyi region. He was a patriot from childhood, raised by parents who valued hard work and love for their native land. After studying in school and vocational school, Oleksandr became a productive worker on the railway. He was also a dedicated collector, poet, and artist, a person with a deep inner world. Later, he joined the territorial defense and fought in eastern Ukraine.
On May 1, 2024, he went missing while carrying out a combat mission, leaving behind family and loved ones. Although the search was unsuccessful, memories of him live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
