The Pension Fund has updated the rules for appealing payments: how to protect your rights now.
Ukrainian citizens can now appeal decisions regarding assigned pensions and social payments. The Pension Fund has simplified the procedure for submitting and reviewing complaints.
Right to appeal decisions regarding social payments
Citizens can now defend their rights in cases where they have doubts about the legality of decisions or actions by officials of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. This applies to situations related to pension provision, insurance payments, and social services.
If a citizen believes that their rights have been violated due to errors in assigning pension payments, refusal of payments, or non-compliance with legal deadlines, they have the right to file a complaint. The new procedure, approved by Resolution No. 21-1 of June 13, 2025, details how this can be done.
Complaints can be submitted either in person or through representatives, in written or electronic form. This will allow everyone to protect their rights in cases of unlawful decisions by the Pension Fund authorities.
When a complaint may not be accepted for consideration
However, it is important to remember that a complaint may not be accepted for consideration if it is filed without a valid reason or late. Also, in cases of repeated submission without new circumstances or when there is a court ruling on the matter, the complaint may be rejected.
If a citizen disagrees with the decision of the Pension Fund, they have the right to appeal to the administrative court to prove their case.
Under the new rules, citizens can more effectively monitor the situation with the assignment of pensions and social payments, protecting their interests in case of any misunderstandings with the Pension Fund.
