Putin to meet with US representative Witkoff: what will they discuss.
According to ТСН: The Kremlin has confirmed that the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the special representative of US President Steve Witkoff will take place in the coming days.
This information was voiced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during communication with propaganda media.
“Putin will meet Witkoff in the first half of next week,” Peskov stated.
Previously, there were reports that Russia is conducting negotiations regarding Ukraine exclusively with the United States of America.
Comment from the Kremlin spokesman
Discussing numerous publications about a possible American peace plan, Peskov noted that this topic generates a lot of material, but “a significant part of it does not correspond to reality.”
About Trump's peace plan
It was also reported that Trump’s “peace plan”, which has raised concerns among European partners, might include actual recognition of Moscow's control over Ukrainian regions occupied since 2014.
This meeting could become an important step for bilateral relations and influence future negotiations regarding the conflict in Ukraine. During discussions of a possible peace plan, the parties will have to consider the positions of all participants and the sensitivity of the issue of Ukraine's territorial integrity, which creates additional challenges on the international stage.
