Russia attacked Odesa at night: a fire broke out at an infrastructure facility

According to ТСН: In the night from Thursday to Friday, the Russian occupation army launched an attack on an infrastructure facility in Odesa, which resulted in a fire.

Situation in Odesa

The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported this. He noted:

«Damage to the infrastructure facility in Odesa has been recorded. As a result of a UAV strike, a fire occurred. All relevant services are working on-site. An examination of the surrounding area for damage to civilian infrastructure and residential buildings is ongoing.»

According to him, there have been no fatalities or injuries recorded. Work is currently underway to eliminate the consequences of the strike.

Restoration of electricity

Energy workers are actively working to restore electricity supply to the homes of Odesa residents. A new social route has been introduced in the city from “Inglezi Street to the Train Station,” and large buses have been involved to transport passengers during peak hours.

Ecological situation

Lysak also reported on monitoring the state of seawater along the coastline. Experts from the Ukrainian Scientific Center for Marine Ecology are assessing the damage caused to the environment.

Attack on Christmas

Recall that the Russian army carried out an attack in Odesa region on Christmas, particularly striking the port and industrial infrastructure. As a result of that incident, one person died and two others were injured.

After one of the recent attacks, Odesa experienced sea pollution: due to damage to tanks with sunflower oil, a large amount of the product entered the Black Sea. This led to mass bird deaths and coastal pollution.

In the current situation, it is important to focus on restoring infrastructure and protecting the environment. The joint efforts of local authorities and ecologists will be crucial in overcoming the consequences of the attacks and preserving the region's ecosystem. The residents of Odesa need support not only in terms of restoring energy resources but also in ensuring safety and comfort in their daily lives.
