Ritual or prayer? Mother of the suspected killer Farion surprised with her behavior in court

Before the session in Lviv, the mother of the suspect in the murder of Irina Farion conducted an unusual ritual right in the courtroom. It was recorded on video as she spread her arms, muttered something to herself, and took deep breaths.

When asked by journalists what this "ritual" meant, the woman replied that it was merely a prayer to God.

"It's not a ritual, the word 'alleluia' is a prayer to God, that's all," explained the suspect's mother. She also told journalists that she was confident - "her son is not a murderer" and hoped that he would be released.

Court Decision

However, the judge decided to keep the preventive measure for the murder suspect Vyacheslav Zinchenko unchanged. He will remain in custody until November 17 of this year without the possibility of bail. Zinchenko's lawyers were denied their motion to dismiss two prosecutors in the case due to alleged friendly relations with Farion's daughter. It was previously reported that the suspect does not intend to go on a hunger strike or commit suicide.

The Murder of Irina Farion

On the evening of July 19, former deputy and linguist Irina Farion died in a hospital from her injuries. An unknown assailant attacked her with a weapon on Masaryk Street in Lviv. A week before, local residents had noticed a young man in the area.

The suspect in the murder of linguist Irina Farion denies his guilt after the court imposed a preventive measure on him. Also, during the criminal investigation, a "Fort 12-R" pistol, which is linked to the murder of Irina Farion, was found in the apartment of a former manager of the "DniproMlyn" company. This was reported by "Glavcom" based on court documents.
