Russia attacked Kharkiv region. Three fatalities are reported.
The village of Shevchenkove in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region has fallen victim to an attack by Russia. This aggression resulted in three fatalities and the same number of injuries. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, Russia launched a strike with the 'Iskander-M' missile on December 19 at 15:00. One woman sustained severe injuries incompatible with life. Another woman died during transportation to a medical facility. One man also died.
Among the injured are two women and one man. A forensic group, crime scene investigators, and explosives experts are working at the scene. The police are collecting material evidence and conducting witness interviews.
As a result of violations of the laws and customs of war, investigators have opened a criminal proceeding.
Previous attacks and Russia's progress
On December 15, an enemy attack also took place in Kharkiv. This was reported by the head of the local regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov. According to preliminary data, enemy shells hit the Kyiv district of Kharkiv.
Relevant services have gone to inspect the site.
Moreover, on the night of December 15, 2024, enemy forces launched 108 strike UAVs of the 'Shahed' type and a guided S-300 anti-aircraft missile at Ukraine. This was reported by the Air Force. The drones were launched from the cities of Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, and Millerovo.
According to confirmed data, 56 drones were shot down in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Additionally, 49 enemy drones were lost due to communication issues, and three returned to Russia.
