Russian Strikes Hit Kyiv and Regions, Causing Casualties and Widespread Heating Loss.
Ukraine's Capital and Regions Targeted in Overnight Assault
According to Novyny.live: In the early hours of March 7, Russian forces launched attacks on Kyiv and several Ukrainian regions, resulting in civilian casualties, injuries, and significant damage to infrastructure. In the capital, three people were wounded, two of whom required hospitalization. The assault caused a fire in a non-residential area of the Holosiivskyi district. A missile fragment was discovered on a road in the Desnianskyi district, while debris was found at three separate sites in the Dniprovskyi district.
The impact of the nighttime attack was felt across multiple districts of Kyiv. Specifically, 1,905 buildings lost heating in the Pecherskyi, Dniprovskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts. In total, nearly 2,700 buildings in Kyiv were left without heat. In Kharkiv, the death toll from a Russian strike on a residential building rose to eight people. These attacks are part of a broader campaign targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure as winter conditions persist.
