Russian Strikes Hit Maternity Hospital and Miners' Bus, Killing at Least 12.

According to TSN.ua: On February 1, 2023, the Russian Federation carried out two separate attacks on Ukrainian civilians, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries. In Zaporizhzhia, Russian forces used drones to strike a maternity hospital, igniting a fire in the reception area of the gynecological department. Two women who had just given birth were in the facility at the time of the attack but, fortunately, survived unharmed.

In a separate incident that same day, Russian forces struck a bus belonging to the DTEK company in the city of Ternivka. The bus was transporting miners at the time. This attack killed at least 12 people and wounded no fewer than 16 others. These assaults are part of a broader pattern of strikes on civilian infrastructure that has characterized the conflict.

International Community Response

In response to these tragedies, a day of mourning was declared in the Dnipropetrovsk region on February 2. These events underscore the ongoing violence and persistent threats to civilians in the region, drawing significant concern from the international community.
