Today, November 17, as a result of a massive aerial attack by Russian troops, Rivne was hit by a missile strike. This was reported by the city's mayor, Oleksandr Tretiak.

«Dear residents of Rivne, let us keep a cool mind and charged power banks. As always, do not post anything online», - wrote the city mayor. He also added that rescue services are working at the scene and urged residents to stay in shelters during the air raid alert.

Later, the head of the Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Koval, reported that a critical infrastructure facility became the target of the enemy's missile strike in Rivne region. Relevant services are already working to eliminate the consequences.

«We will gradually restore electricity and water supply», - he added.

According to Koval, as a result of the missile strike, neighboring residential buildings were also damaged, with broken windows. Community leaders are ready to provide temporary housing for the victims.

The launch of missiles from Russian strategic bombers Tu-95MS towards Ukraine was recorded at 5:42 AM.
