Drone Strike on Dnipro Leaves Ten Wounded, Including a Child.
Nighttime Assault Targets Dnipro
According to TSN.ua: In a nighttime attack, Ukrainian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 122 out of 137 drones launched by Russia. Despite this, the assault caused significant damage in Dnipro, wounding ten people, including a 12-year-old boy. The scale of the bombardment was immense, shattering over a thousand windows across the city. This attack is part of a wider pattern of strikes on Ukrainian urban centers far from the front lines.
Extensive Damage to City Infrastructure
The attack proved particularly destructive as 19 drones were shot down directly over the city itself. The resulting debris and strikes damaged:
- apartment buildings
- a bank
- a private house
One injured woman remains hospitalized, while the condition of the other victims is reported as stable.
The damage forced a local high school to suspend classes due to the lack of intact windows, highlighting the attack's severe disruption to daily life in Dnipro. The ongoing conflict continues to pose grave risks to civilians and critical infrastructure, even as Ukrainian forces work to defend their airspace. Local authorities and aid organizations are now focused on providing assistance to the wounded and repairing the damaged structures.
