Russians struck a bridge in Kremenchuk: what the damage looks like.
According to inkorr.com: On the night of September 6 to 7, the roadway on the bridge over the Dnipro River in Kremenchuk was damaged as a result of an attack by Russian troops. The head of the board of JSC 'Ukrzaliznytsia' Oleksandr Pertsovskyi reported that a strike was made on the Kryukiv Bridge and demonstrated the consequences of this shelling, as reported by 'Glavcom'.
“The enemy tried to sever both banks of the Dnipro in Kremenchuk. Car traffic has already been restored. I thank all railway units for their selfless work, who were already on the scene at dawn and virtually started working in parallel with the work of the explosives technicians.”
Pertsovskyi also noted that work is ongoing to restore railway communication. At the moment, bus shuttles have been launched, and no long-distance route will be canceled – we will transport everyone!
The mayor of Kremenchuk, Vitalii Maletskyi, added that restoration work is still ongoing, so temporary traffic restrictions on the bridge may be possible in the coming days.
Video of the moment the bridge was hit
Earlier, a video appeared on the internet capturing the moment a drone struck the bridge in Kremenchuk. The recording shows a car passing over the bridge at the time of the attack. The mayor reported that the driver remained unharmed: “Regarding that same car – the driver is alive!”
As a result of the attack on the bridge, the roadway was damaged, causing temporary traffic restrictions. However, thanks to quick response and coordinated efforts, car traffic was restored, and bus shuttles were organized for the convenience of local residents and visitors to the city.
Restoration of the bridge and railway communication is being handled by the relevant services, which are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack. Local authorities assure that transportation infrastructure will soon be fully restored, which is important for the life of the city and its residents. We will keep track of further news and updates on the situation in the region.
