Russian Strike Hits Kharkiv Market, Injuring Two Civilians.
Market in Kharkiv Targeted in Attack
According to TSN.ua: On February 2, Russian forces launched an attack on a market in Kharkiv, injuring two people. This assault was part of a wider offensive, as that same night, occupying forces also carried out a mass drone attack on the Cherkasy region. These attacks are part of a pattern of strikes on civilian infrastructure that has persisted throughout the conflict.
Drone Attack Causes Damage in Cherkasy
The drone strike on the Cherkasy regional center left at least four local residents injured. The attack destroyed two houses and damaged buildings at three enterprises and a gas station. The blast wave from the impact also hit an auto cooperative, where several vehicles burned. The city of Cherkasy is situated on the Dnipro River, hundreds of kilometers from the front lines, yet remains vulnerable to such aerial assaults.
These events confirm the continuation of violence by Russian troops, which damages civilian objects and threatens people's lives.
Attacks on civilian objects, such as markets and residential buildings, demonstrate an escalation of the conflict and its negative impact on the daily lives of Ukrainian citizens. The noted trend toward mass assaults may indicate new phases of military action that threaten population safety and demand urgent measures from the international community to protect civilians.
