Russian troops on the outskirts of Myrnohrad: fierce street fighting continues

According to inkorr.com: Russian forces have already reached the outskirts of Myrnohrad, located in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region. Street fighting is taking place here. This was reported by 'Glavkom', referring to the spokesperson of the Eastern military group, Hryhoriy Shapoval, during a telethon.

'Unfortunately, at present, the enemy has entered the outskirts of Myrnohrad, and is using not only artillery and unmanned systems but also infantry and equipment.'

Currently, the defense forces are trying to hold their positions, erecting fortifications. 'The situation is quite serious and fierce street fighting continues,' Shapoval explained.

Plans and actions of Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelensky noted at a closed meeting, attended by 'Glavkom', that Russia attempted to capture Pokrovsk a year ago, but they failed to implement their plans. He also emphasized that the Russians are trying to deceive the Americans by claiming full control over eastern Ukraine.

'We are increasing our forces to defend near Pokrovsk. About 200 Russian troops are in various locations - we see this through drones. When the Russians leave their positions and open fire, they are located and destroyed.'

The enemy's attempts to change the direction of the offensive towards Kup'yansk have been unsuccessful, and fighting in the Novopavlivsk direction remains under the control of Ukrainian forces.

Russian military forces continue to try to advance further into Ukrainian territory, reaching the outskirts of Myrnohrad. Ukrainian troops are actively defending their positions, not allowing the enemy to continue their advance unopposed. President Zelensky's actions are aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens and Ukraine's territory, as well as defending Ukrainian sovereignty in the face of military threats from Russia.
