Two Injured in Kyiv as Russia Launches Nighttime Attack on February 12.
Kyiv Targeted in February 12 Strike
According to TSN.ua: Russia carried out an attack on Kyiv during the night of February 12, resulting in injuries to two civilians. One of the victims was hospitalized in serious condition, while the other received outpatient medical care.
The assault caused impacts on private homes and non-residential structures. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the casualties, stating,
"As of now, two people have been injured". Official Timur Tkachenko added that in the Darnytskyi district, debris damaged the facade and windows of an apartment building. In the Dniprovskyi district, unmanned aerial vehicles fell near residential buildings at two separate locations. These attacks are part of a sustained Russian campaign targeting Ukrainian cities far from the front lines.
Dnipropetrovsk Region Also Hit by Ballistic Missiles
In a separate barrage, Russian forces also fired ballistic missiles at the Dnipropetrovsk region. The combined strikes have heightened anxiety among Kyiv residents and underscore a dangerous escalation of hostilities across the country.
This latest incident further demonstrates the ongoing violence in Ukraine, which continues to threaten civilian safety and urban infrastructure. Given the increasing frequency of such bombardments, it is critical for authorities and the international community to respond decisively, ensuring the protection of civilians and supporting efforts to restore peace in the region.
