Fire Engulfs 2000 Square Meters, Destroying Car Dealerships and Vehicles

According to TSN.ua: A Russian attack on the Odesa region has resulted in one fatality and six injuries, three of whom are in serious condition. The assault triggered a major fire spanning over 2000 square meters, which destroyed three car dealerships and incinerated approximately 30 vehicles. This relentless bombardment is part of a wider campaign targeting Ukraine's critical southern infrastructure, including its vital Black Sea ports.

The strike hit a port facility, killing one person and wounding six others. According to Odesa region State Emergency Service spokeswoman Maryna Averina, debris from the attack struck the facades of two apartment buildings. Fortunately, no casualties or fires were reported in those residential structures, though the city's housing infrastructure and critical facilities sustained damage.

More than 90 rescue workers responded to the scene. This marks the fourth large-scale attack on the Odesa region in a single week, causing severe infrastructure damage and leaving thousands of residents without electricity or running water.

"We had only just managed to restore heating and water in the evening, we had only just given people the chance to warm up."

Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration

Emergency services continue working to clear the aftermath and restore normal life to the region.

This latest attack underscores the persistent threats facing Odesa amid the ongoing war and the severe disruption to civilians' daily lives. Repairing the extensively damaged infrastructure will be a lengthy process, requiring coordinated efforts from rescue services and state authorities. Given the frequency of such strikes, the region urgently needs enhanced security measures and sustained support from both the national government and international partners.
