Belarusian air defense shot down the Russian drone 'Shahed' amid a drone attack on Ukraine
In the night of January 28, a 'Shahed' drone was shot down in Belarusian airspace after penetrating from Russia. This was reported by 'Belaruski Hayun'. Preliminary data indicates that the strike drone was destroyed by the air defense of the Armed Forces of Belarus at 00:55.
Explosions were also heard near Mozyr, but after a few minutes the 'Shahed' was no longer seen. Around midnight, 'Hayun' reported that the drone was approaching Mozyr, but the military aviation did not take to the air.
It is worth noting that there have previously been instances of Russian kamikaze drones being shot down in Belarus. Additionally, in October, a Russian drone 'Shahed' was recorded flying over Belarus, to which the Belarusian military aviation responded.
