Collapse of the Armed Forces is Inevitable: When Will the Critical Point Arrive, According to Chmut

According to ТСН: The head of the volunteer fund "Come Back Alive," Taras Chmut, expressed concern about a possible collapse of the Defense Forces, emphasizing the critical indicators that could confirm this. He highlighted the importance of considering the number of servicemen at different levels—from platoons to battalions—as well as data on losses, missing in action, and mobilization.

Critical Indicators

Chmut explained that if these data are compiled into one chart, it will become apparent how the number of military personnel begins to decrease.

"Why? Every month we lose roughly the same number of people. That is, losses are not increasing or may even decrease with some probability," he noted.

The volunteer pointed out that irreversible losses are increasing while mobilization is declining, and the quality of new mobilization is also falling.

Low Staffing Levels

Chmut warned that soon the number of people on the battlefield could drop to critical levels, where they would not be able to perform combat tasks. He provided an example that there are battalions in the Armed Forces where only 11 individuals remain, whereas the normal strength of a battalion ranges from 80 to 250 servicemen.

"And this is not some kind of lower staffing level. This is the average temperature of the Defense Forces," he noted.

Thus, the combat units stationed at the front line have an extremely low level of staffing.

Urgent Needs

Chmut also emphasized that based on these indicators, these units should not be in combat.

"They should all be withdrawn for restoration, replenishment, training, and new coordination. But there is no one to replace them," he noted.

Ultimately, the influx of new troops is occurring in limited volumes, sometimes only 50 or 100 individuals per month.

Earlier, Chmut warned of a strategic crisis at the front and the threat to statehood. These issues require urgent resolution to ensure the effectiveness of the defense forces and stability at the front line.
