In expert circles, the issue of opening an airport in Lviv is being discussed. However, no decision has been made on this at present. This was reported by the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, in an interview with rbc.ua.
Last year, there were many discussions about the possibility of opening one of the airports in Ukraine, and Lviv was considered as one of the possible options. This issue is indeed being discussed now, but the most important factor remains the safety of people.
There are issues of state security, there are issues of people's safety. We must survive under any conditions, so this topic is being discussed in expert circles. And I think that once a decision is made, you will be the first to know about it
The mayor noted that there are many airports in Ukraine, and in his opinion, at least one of them should operate even during the war.
