According to TSN.ua: A 56-year-old military pensioner was injured in a car bombing in Odesa on February 16. According to law enforcement, the attack was carried out by a 33-year-old unemployed man who had been recruited by Russian intelligence services. The perpetrator constructed the explosive device himself before using it in the assault.

Authorities have classified the incident as a terrorist act. Through coordinated operations by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police, the suspect was apprehended and is currently in custody. Under Ukrainian law, the detainee faces a potential prison sentence of up to 12 years.
