Attacks on Enemy Military Infrastructure

According to TSN.ua: On March 2, 2023, Ukrainian defense forces successfully targeted several key enemy military installations in occupied Crimea and the Luhansk region. In a significant operation, Ukrainian military units struck a deep-space communications center located near the village of Vitine in Crimea. This coordinated action also resulted in the destruction of a 'Podlet-K1' radar station close to the settlement of Vynohradne.

Furthermore, Ukrainian strikes in the Luhansk region eliminated two critical radar systems:

  • A 'Kasta 2E2' system in the village of Liubyme
  • A 'YASTREB-AV' system in the village of Topoli

Additionally, a Russian electronic intelligence unit known as 'Rubicon' was hit in the areas of Kermenchyk and Kins'ki Rozdory. These precision strikes demonstrate Ukraine's growing capability to disrupt Russian operations along strategically vital fronts. The conflict has increasingly seen both sides target command, control, and surveillance assets to degrade the other's battlefield awareness.

The Significance of Electronic Warfare

These operations highlight the Ukrainian military's focus on degrading critical enemy infrastructure, which can severely impact Russia's operational capacity. The improved tactics and increased accuracy of these strikes underscore the pivotal role of information warfare and electronic combat in modern military engagements, where dominance in the electromagnetic spectrum is often a decisive factor.
