The Armed Forces of Ukraine discuss the results of combat use of unmanned systems
In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a monthly meeting was held for commanders of unmanned system units, during which the results of combat use of UAVs and plans for further development in this field were discussed.
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syryskyi.
According to the Commander of the UAV Forces of the AFU, Colonel Vadym Sukharievskyi, in October, Ukrainian drones conducted over 7,000 combat missions, resulting in the destruction and damage of more than 52,000 enemy targets. Among the destroyed objects were 129 artillery systems, 221 pieces of radio equipment, and over 4,000 units of enemy personnel.
Particular attention during the meeting was given to the implementation of new developments and innovative tactics for using UAVs. Participants shared experiences on the use of interceptor drones and performing tasks over long distances in conditions of enemy electronic warfare countermeasures.
The most effective were the strike bomber drones. The high professionalism of the crews of the 414th BpS KSV Regiment and the 412th BpS SBS Battalion was noted.
"The technologies of unmanned systems are rapidly evolving, and we must stay one step ahead of the enemy. The development of unmanned and robotic systems, and the enhancement of combat capabilities of UAV units and divisions remain one of the key priorities in our activities," noted the command.
Let us recall that earlier the Ministry of Defense showed how many drones will be produced in Ukraine by the end of the year.
