The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made a working trip to the defense units in the Zaporizhzhia region
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that he worked in the units and subunits participating in the defense operation in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to him, on this part of the front, the enemy uses assault and bomber aviation, drones, and artillery combined with mortars.
In such conditions, our main task is to strengthen the defense of the troops at the most difficult sections of the front and ensure maximum resilience of the defense line. With the aim of taking necessary measures and responding promptly, my work in the military units, leading the defense in this region was planned, Syrskyi said.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also met with brigade commanders, where they thoroughly analyzed the situation in the areas of combat operations and the supply status of ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles, and electronic warfare equipment.
Particular attention was paid to preparations for defensive actions in the autumn-winter period. Measures were taken to provide the units with additional weapons, equipment, and everything necessary, Syrskyi added.
Let us recall that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the resistance movement conducted a successful special operation in temporarily occupied Berdiansk, during which they destroyed a railway bridge used by the occupiers for transporting military cargo.
