Scandal with volunteer Sternenko: Ukrainian Ground Forces issued a statement.

The Ukrainian Ground Forces responded to the incident involving the search by the Odessa Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center for activist and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko. They reported that the mobilization of specific individuals is carried out by the decision of the military commissariats themselves. This is stated in the statement of the Ground Forces.

The Ground Forces noted that they highly value the contribution and assistance of Ukrainian volunteers in the fight against Russian occupiers, and under the conditions of confrontation with an enemy superior in manpower and equipment, such assistance is very important.

It was also noted that many civil activists and volunteers have joined the Armed Forces and are fulfilling their constitutional duty, as «only in consolidation and unity – the strength of Ukrainians and the key to victory over the insidious, eternal Russian enemy».

Let us recall that the Odessa Regional Recruitment Center commented on the announcement of the search for volunteer Serhiy Sternenko. The center noted that Sternenko has already visited the Primorsky Recruitment and Social Support Center, where he paid an administrative fine for violating military registration rules. He has also been referred to the military licensing and control commission.

The blogger and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko accused the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi of persecution. He noted that this happened because of the demand to reform the army.
