Starting from 2026, Ukrainians aged 40+ will receive 2000 UAH for free health screening.
According to ТСН: From January 1, 2026, a program "Health Screening 40+" will launch in Ukraine, aimed at timely detection of diseases that may affect the duration and quality of life.
This news was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Program participants will be able to undergo a cardiovascular system check, have a screening for type 2 diabetes, as well as assess their mental health status.
How to undergo health screening for free
The program offers a simple participation mechanism. Each citizen of Ukraine who has reached the age of 40 will receive a personal invitation in the "Diia" app 30 days after their birthday. After accepting the invitation, the user will receive 2000 UAH on a "Diia Card", which can be spent exclusively on undergoing screening.
Those who do not use the "Diia" app will be able to register through banks and Centers for Administrative Service (CNAPs).
Where to undergo the examination
The examination can be conducted in state, communal, or private medical institutions that meet the requirements of the Ministry of Health and the National Health Service of Ukraine for participation in the program. A list of such institutions will be published soon.
For this program, 10 billion UAH is planned in the state budget for 2026.
It is worth noting that under the state screening program, each Ukrainian participant will receive 2000 UAH for a comprehensive screening through "Diia" or on a bank card.
Attention should be paid to risk factors for heart attack.
Heart attack remains one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, but by changing habits, everyone can significantly reduce the risk of a heart attack or stroke.
The introduction of the "Health Screening 40+" program will be an important step in improving the health of Ukrainians. This initiative will not only simplify access to medical services but also raise public awareness regarding personal health. The results of the screening may help to timely detect diseases and take necessary measures, which will undoubtedly affect the overall quality of life in the country.
