Health Screening 40+ Program

According to TSN.ua: A new government initiative in Ukraine is offering citizens aged 40 and over a 2000 hryvnia payment to cover the cost of a medical screening. This program is part of a broader effort to improve preventative healthcare and early disease detection. Invitations are sent out on the 30th day following a person's birthday, with the first wave of invitations going to those who celebrated birthdays between January 1 and January 14.

Since January 31, invitations have been issued daily. For instance, on February 13, individuals born on January 14 will receive their notification. To access the funds, eligible Ukrainians can use a "Diia.Card," which is available through the "Diia" app or via partner banks. The list of participating banks includes:

  • PrivatBank
  • Monobank
  • Credit Dnipro
  • Sense Bank
  • A-Bank

How to Obtain a "Diia.Card"

Opening a "Diia.Card" involves a few simple steps. First, users must update the "Diia" app and log in. Next, they should navigate to the Services section, select "Diia.Card," choose a partner bank, sign the agreement, and then open the account. This program is designed to enhance access to medical check-ups and support the health of the population.

The "Health Screening 40+" program represents a strategic government effort to improve medical services and disease prevention. It aims to encourage people over 40 to undergo regular examinations, which can lead to the timely diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. Given demographic shifts and the need for better public health outcomes, this initiative is a significant component of a wider strategy to improve the quality of life for Ukrainian citizens.
