The USA seized Venezuelan oil: Rubio revealed details of the harsh blockade

According to ТСН: The US administration has taken active measures by implementing strict control over Venezuela's energy resources. Secretary of State Marco Rubio shared details of Washington's strategy, which is based on a complete economic blockade and control of financial flows.

Oil in exchange for stability

During a conversation with journalists in the Capitol, Rubio noted that the blockade of Venezuelan oil has given the US "maximum possible leverage" over the situation.

"They are currently not receiving any profit from their oil. They cannot move it unless we allow it. This is a huge leverage," the official stated.

It is important not only to block but also to utilize the country's resources.

"We plan to take from 30 to 50 million barrels of oil. We will sell it on the market at market prices, not with the discounts that Venezuela used to provide," explained the Secretary of State.

Rubio emphasized that the funds obtained will be distributed under strict US control.

"We will control how this money is distributed," Rubio stressed.

He also added that this is done to ensure that the money goes for the benefit of the Venezuelan people, not into the hands of corrupt officials or regime representatives.

Collaboration is inevitable

Rubio also confirmed that the leadership of Venezuela has already begun to cooperate with the United States regarding the tanker Sophia, seized in the Caribbean Sea.

"They understand that the only way to transport oil, generate revenue, and avoid economic collapse is to cooperate with the United States," he stated.

Three stages of the strategy

To overcome the consequences of the crisis, the US administration is applying a so-called "three-stage process":

  1. Stabilization. The main goal is to avoid chaos.

  2. Recovery. Ensuring access for Western countries and companies to Venezuelan markets.

  3. Reconciliation. A political process aimed at uniting society.

The US has seized two tankers carrying Venezuelan oil, increasing pressure on Caracas. Pete Hegseth issued a stern warning regarding the trade in energy resources.

The situation with control over Venezuela's energy resources demonstrates the growing US interest in stability in the region. Economic pressure on Caracas, along with the prospect of cooperation, could change the balance of power in the country. The seriousness of American actions underscores Washington's intent to influence the further development of events in Venezuela to ensure the growth of the well-being of its citizens and prevent corrupt practices.
