According to OLX Work research, the median salary in Ukraine is 20,000 UAH, but in job listings, some socially vulnerable categories are offered salaries lower than the average.

According to the study, in the category of jobs for pensioners, the median salary is 17,000 UAH, which is 15% lower than the average salary. The highest salaries for pensioners are offered in the western part of the country, while the lowest are in the center and front-line regions.

Among the regions where the highest salaries for pensioners are offered, it is worth highlighting Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Transcarpathian, Lviv, and Ternopil. In these regions, employers are willing to pay from 18 to 20 thousand UAH.

In the category of jobs for students, the median salary is 17,400 UAH, which is 13% lower than the average. The highest salaries for students are offered in Kyiv and Lviv, while the lowest are in Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Chernihiv regions.

In the category of jobs for people with the status of combatants, the median salary is 19,800 UAH, which corresponds to the average salary level. The highest salaries are offered in the western part of the country, while the lowest are in the central and Sumy regions.

Among the regions where the highest salaries for people with combatant status are offered, it is worth highlighting Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Odesa, Transcarpathian, Lviv, Ternopil, Chernihiv, and Chernivtsi. In these regions, employers are willing to pay from 20 to 23 thousand UAH.

In the category of jobs for women on maternity leave, the median salary is 16,400 UAH, which is 18% lower than the average. The highest salaries are offered in Zaporizhzhia region, Kyiv region, and Odesa, as well as in Lviv region.

Among the regions where the highest salaries for women on maternity leave are offered, it is worth highlighting Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia. In these regions, employers are willing to pay from 17 to 21 thousand UAH.

The median salary for people with disabilities is 18,200 UAH, which is 9% lower than the average salary in the country. The situation with vacancies for this category is similar to that of pensioners.

Employers from Kyiv and Lviv regions are willing to pay the highest salaries to socially vulnerable groups. The amount may range from 18 to 23 thousand UAH.

Drop in activity in the labor market during the Christmas and New Year holidays

According to Work.ua research, in December 2024, the number of vacancies on the site decreased by 19%, while the number of candidates searching for jobs decreased by 6%. This is attributed to the holiday period.
