Ukraine’s Drone Defense Experience Is Unmatched, Says Sterhenko: What Sets It Apart.
Sterhenko on Ukraine’s Expertise in Countering UAVs
According to Novyny.live: Serhiy Sterhenko, an advisor to Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, highlighted on March 15 that the country’s approach to countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is truly one of a kind. He noted that while Russia is trying to develop its own drone-based air defense systems, those efforts fall short when compared to what Ukraine has achieved in this field.
“The Russians are currently attempting to build up their drone air defense capabilities, but there’s simply no comparison with what we have.”
Serhiy Sterhenko
Sterhenko emphasized that Ukraine’s hands-on experience in drone defense is practically unparalleled, underscoring the nation’s edge in this critical domain.
Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that the United States and several Gulf states have approached Ukraine seeking collaboration on drone countermeasures. On March 8, it was announced that the first team of Ukrainian specialists had already traveled to the Middle East to share expertise and establish cooperation in this area.
The Global Relevance of Ukraine’s UAV Know-How
As drone threats continue to escalate worldwide, Ukraine’s proven strategies and technologies are becoming vital not just for its own national security, but also for international partnerships. The interest from the U.S. and Gulf nations highlights a growing global demand for Ukraine’s innovations in UAV defense. This exchange of knowledge is expected to strengthen the defensive capabilities of both Ukraine and its allies against emerging aerial threats.
