A renewed version of the Memorial Wall is scheduled for completion by October 2026. This step is crucial for preserving the legacy of the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine's independence. Oleksandr Alfiorov, Head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, noted that the current, spontaneous form of memorialization does not always align with the values society aims to convey.

"The current, ad-hoc nature of memorialization often fails to communicate what we intend to say," stated Oleksandr Alfiorov.

Planned Initiatives and Their Significance

As part of the Memorial Wall project, new banners are also planned for display in cities across Ukraine. This will form part of a broader initiative to organize memorial sites.
