Invitation to NATO and strengthening combat brigades: Zelensky talked with Rutte
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and thanked him for holding the Ukraine-NATO Council meeting in Brussels at the level of foreign ministers.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of inviting Ukraine to NATO and the need to strengthen the defense of Ukraine during the winter period. Rutte stated that increasing support for Ukraine is a priority for NATO.
Zelensky imposed sanctions against the Georgian authorities
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky imposed sanctions against the current authorities of Georgia, including against Bidzina Ivanishvili and 19 other officials. He urged partners to also impose sanctions against the Georgian authorities and noted that it is unacceptable to allow countries in the region to lose their freedom.
The Council supported the draft law on the establishment of a jury court
The Verkhovna Rada supported the draft laws on the establishment of a jury court in Ukraine. Draft law No. 3843 on the establishment of the court was adopted in the first reading with revisions, and draft law No. 3844 on changes to the law 'On the Judiciary' in connection with the jury court also received support.
Syrskyi presented awards to artillerymen fighting in the Kursk region
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi presented state awards to artillerymen fighting in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, on the occasion of the Day of Rocket Troops and Artillery. He thanked the warriors for their courage and heroism in defending the state.
The Kyiv City Council approved the budget for 2025
The Kyiv City Council approved the budget of the capital for 2025 at more than 90 billion UAH. Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko noted that the budget is balanced and financially will ensure the most important areas and projects, including support for the military and the functioning of the capital.
