A man was detained in Kyiv after a fight with the police: what happened on Mriya street.
According to ТСН: Information has appeared online about the brutal detention of a man on Mriya street in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv. The published videos show how he is being dragged through the snow to a minibus.
Women tried to stop the detention and claimed that gas and electroshock weapons were used against them.
Police Actions
Kyiv police reported that while checking documents on Mriya street, district police officers found a man who was wanted.
“The man behaved aggressively. Later, a fight broke out during which one of the participants sprayed the military service members with gas. Subsequently, a man born in 1989 was detained (it was him being dragged to the minibus – ed.) and taken to the regional territorial center for recruitment and social support (RTCK),” said the police of the Shevchenkivskyi district.
Law enforcement officials noted that document checks among citizens often cause negative emotions and outrage, and in this case, the man himself provoked the conflict in the middle of the street.
“During the transfer of the man to the RTCK, police officers did not use gas or electroshock weapons,” the police of the Shevchenkivskyi district reported.
It was also emphasized that earlier a representative of the OK “West” explained that this issue lies at the heart of the crisis of trust and aggression towards military service members.
The situation surrounding the detention of the man raised many questions regarding the actions of law enforcement. In particular, the public is interested in whether an investigation will be conducted regarding the use of force during the detention. As numerous videos and eyewitness accounts indicate, such incidents cause significant concern as they undermine trust in law enforcement agencies.
This incident has become yet another example of the tense relationship between citizens and the police, highlighting the urgency of dialogue between the authorities and society to resolve conflicts and improve the situation in the country.
