Ternopil Region Tops Complaints Over Military Draft Irregularities.
The Situation in Ternopil Region
According to Novyny.live: The Ternopil region has received the highest number of complaints regarding violations in the military mobilization process. This surge in reported irregularities followed a decision to grant local military personnel the authority to conduct draft measures independently. The regional recruitment centers (TCCs) began receiving dozens of appeals daily, causing significant public concern. This mobilization is part of Ukraine's ongoing effort to bolster its armed forces in the defense against the full-scale invasion.
During a session of the temporary investigative commission (TIC) examining violations under martial law, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets stated:
"Ternopil has taken the lead in a negative sense" — Dmytro Lubinets
His remarks highlight severe systemic issues in how the draft is being organized within the region, problems that require immediate review and corrective action.
The Imperative for Oversight
Consequently, the events in Ternopil underscore the critical need for strict adherence to mobilization regulations and for robust oversight by relevant authorities to prevent similar failures. This case should serve as a warning for other regions where mobilization is underway, emphasizing that all participants must follow established norms and procedures to ensure transparency and legality. The responsible government bodies must take steps to rectify the situation and prevent future occurrences.
