Trump Warns of 'Extremely Powerful' Strike on Iran Within Weeks – What We Know So Far.
U.S. President Donald Trump's Address to the Nation
According to Novyny.live: In a national address, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the possibility of a major military strike against Iran within the next two to three weeks. He emphasized that Washington is prepared to deliver an 'extremely powerful' blow if Tehran does not agree to a deal with the United States. Trump stated that without a negotiated settlement, the military would 'hit every power plant very hard, likely all at once.'
Current Situation in Iran and U.S. Intentions
Trump also stressed that Americans have endured what he called aggressive actions by Iran's leadership for 47 years, adding that 'this should have ended long ago.' According to him, the situation in Iran is a short-term crisis resulting from the Iranian regime's own actions. He noted that the U.S. has been engaged in combat for only 32 days, compared to the eight-year war in Iraq.
During his speech, Trump declared that the U.S. has successfully achieved regime change in Iran. He outlined several claims:
- Iran's leaders are dead;
- Its navy and air force have been destroyed;
- The leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been eliminated;
- Military factories have been blown up, with very few remaining;
- Iran now has very few soldiers left.
He also referenced the families of 13 fallen U.S. soldiers, who he said would ask him to see the operation against Iran through to completion.
Trump emphasized his intention to take Iran 'back to the Stone Age.'
This signals the seriousness of U.S. intentions regarding Iran's military program, particularly in light of Tehran's pursuit of missiles with maximum range capabilities.
Trump's address has sparked significant international reactions, as it escalates the already tense relations between the U.S. and Iran that have persisted in recent years. The announced plans could lead to a broader conflict, affecting not only regional security but also the global economy, given Iran's role in energy supply. Observers are closely watching for further developments, as responses from Iran and other nations could dramatically shift the situation.
