Trump announced the suspension of immigration from third world countries: what this means.
According to ТСН: US President Donald Trump announced that his administration will "permanently suspend" immigration from all 'third world countries'. Additionally, he threatened mass deportation of some migrants whom he called "illegal people who are a nuisance".
Trump did not specify from which countries exactly he plans to halt immigration, nor did he indicate when he intends to implement this plan. The president emphasized the cancellation of "millions of illegal entry permits" issued during Joe Biden's administration and plans to drastically reduce the number of "illegal people who are a nuisance".
He also intends to cancel federal benefits and subsidies for non-citizens of the US, and plans to deport migrants whom he considers "incompatible with Western civilization". Trump believes that the only solution to correct the situation is "reverse migration".
In conclusion to a series of posts on this topic, Trump congratulated Americans on Thanksgiving, noting that his greetings do not apply to "those who hate, steal, kill, and destroy everything America stands for".
"You won't have long left here!"
According to reports from Reuters, Trump's new statements targeting migrants came after a deadly shooting near the White House, carried out by a citizen of Afghanistan who arrived in the US under a resettlement program.
In response to this incident, the immigration service announced a "thorough and comprehensive review of all green cards of all foreigners from all problematic countries", covering not only Afghans but also individuals from 18 other countries such as Iran, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Cuba, and Venezuela.
Additionally, according to American media, the man who carried out the shooting in Washington had previously served in Afghan military units supported by the CIA.
This situation highlights the growing tension in the US regarding immigration and security issues. Trump's new measures could significantly change the country's policy toward migrants and their legal status, as well as spark discussion among politicians and the public. Critics warn about the potential consequences of such moves for US humanitarian policy and relations with foreign countries.
