Missing 400 kg of Uranium in Iran Pushes Trump Toward Military Action.
U.S. Military Intervention in Iran Under Consideration
According to TSN.ua: President Donald Trump is weighing the deployment of American troops to Iran to seize nuclear materials. This comes after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported it cannot account for roughly 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi has stated that the situation is causing serious concern within the international community.
Trump has noted that Iran’s military capabilities are now largely destroyed, emphasizing the need for swift action.
“That option remains on the table,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, referring to the possibility of military intervention.
Tensions are further heightened by reports from the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, which has recorded 15 attacks in the Strait of Hormuz since its mission began.
International Reactions and Growing Strain
Trump has also voiced frustration with European allies, whom he believes have not shown sufficient support for securing the Strait of Hormuz.
“You’d think they’d say, we’d be happy to send a couple of minesweepers. It’s not that difficult, it doesn’t cost much money, but they haven’t done it,” the U.S. president remarked.
The question of seizing nuclear materials and potential military action in the region remains unresolved, and future developments could significantly impact global security and stability. The United States is reportedly planning a military operation lasting 4 to 6 weeks, aiming to address this complex and deeply concerning issue.
This situation highlights the escalating friction between Washington and Tehran, which could spark new conflicts in the region. Trump’s actions may provoke responses from other nations, particularly European allies who have already voiced alarm over the risk of escalating violence. Given the Strait of Hormuz’s critical role in global oil shipments, any military engagement could have severe consequences for the world economy.
