Trump Reacts to Mueller's Death: 'I'm Glad He's Dead'.
U.S. President Responds to Passing of Former FBI Director Robert Mueller
According to TSN.ua: Donald Trump has spoken out following the death of Robert Mueller, the former FBI director who led the investigation into ties between Trump's campaign and Russia during the 2016 election. Mueller passed away at the age of 81. He became FBI director just a week before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and led the bureau until 2013.
In 2017, Mueller was appointed special counsel by the Justice Department to probe potential links between Trump's team and the Russian government. The nearly two-year investigation resulted in a 448-page report. While the report found no evidence of a criminal conspiracy between Trump's campaign and Russia, it noted that the Russian government believed it would benefit from a Trump presidency.
Trump's Remarks on Mueller
Upon learning of Mueller's death, Trump shared his thoughts:
Robert Mueller just died. Good, I'm glad he's dead. He can no longer harm innocent people! — Donald Trump
Trump also said, 'This should never happen to another president again.' Mueller was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2021, which affected his health in his final years.
Robert Mueller's death closes a significant chapter in American political history tied to a contentious investigation that lasted nearly two years. Although the Mueller report did not establish conspiracy, his work drew intense scrutiny and criticism from both politicians and the public. Trump's reaction underscores the deep divisions that remain in American society over the investigation and its legacy.
