«Iran seeks freedom, perhaps like never before. The USA is ready to help!!!», Trump wrote.
Possible military actions
According to the Clash Report, citing the Wall Street Journal, one official indicated that a large-scale airstrike on several military facilities in Iran is being considered.
At the same time, other sources emphasize that there is no unified position regarding the next steps.
Officials note that no military equipment or personnel have been moved in preparation for a possible strike. Currently, discussions are at a preliminary stage, and a final decision has not yet been made.
Emphasis on political pressure
Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies Igor Semivolos stated that a special forces operation by the USA in Iran may only happen at the final stage of protests, when there is a threat of the regime of Ali Khamenei falling.
He also noted that currently Washington is focused on political pressure and threats, without direct involvement, and the question is about the ability of the protest movement to independently change the existing power.
Events in Iran are attracting the interest of the international community, as the protest movement is actively developing. Washington is trying to find an optimal strategy that would not only support the democratic aspirations of Iranians but also prevent the escalation of conflict in the region. It remains to be seen how these events will develop further.
