US President Donald Trump stated that he has more difficulties in relations with Ukraine than with Russia. He also threatens to stop supporting Ukraine if it does not agree to peace negotiations. According to Trump, Ukraine does not have a strong negotiating position and has no advantages compared to Russia. Furthermore, he suspended the provision of military aid and access to intelligence data that were supposed to verify Ukraine's readiness for peace negotiations.
Trump also stated that he wants to stop the bloodshed and discuss a ceasefire regime and return to negotiations at a meeting in Saudi Arabia. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz confirmed that Trump demands a halt to hostilities and the next diplomatic meeting.
Ukraine is ready for peace and offers concrete steps to end the war and ensure security. Russia needs to be forced to peace by stopping the war, promoting diplomacy, and guaranteeing security. President Zelensky called for real actions to achieve lasting peace.
