Drone interceptors will receive state contracts from Ukrainian manufacturers

Three manufacturers of drone interceptors received state contracts on July 22. Moreover, the Ministry of Defense is negotiating with partners to attract funding. This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Denys Shmyhal, on Telegram on July 23.

Development of production in Ukraine

Shmyhal mentioned that Ukraine is actively developing its market for drone interceptors. Three manufacturers have received state contracts worth over 3 billion hryvnias. Agreements on funding for the purchase of such drones have already been reached.

The minister, along with First Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, held a meeting with drone manufacturers and volunteer organizations to supply Ukrainian military with drones at the front.

'Great attention has been paid to drone interceptors capable of countering Russian 'shaheeds'. The President has set the task of developing this direction,' Shmyhal noted.

The Ministry of Defense is also negotiating with partners about funding for the purchase of interceptors, and initial agreements have already been made.

Recall that earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky set the Ministry of Defense the task regarding drone interceptors, and this week, all available drones are to be contracted.

Mykhailo Fedorov explained how drone interceptors work.

The announcement that Ukrainian manufacturers of drone interceptors have received state contracts and the government's initiatives regarding the development of production of these drones are important steps to support Ukraine's defense capability. The availability of domestic high-tech developments in the field of drones will strengthen the country's defense industry and equip the Ukrainian military with modern technical means.
